Năm cũ chửa qua, năm mới đã đến

Chỉ sự chuyển tiếp thời gian rất nhanh: việc của năm cũ còn chưa xong thì việc của năm mới đã tới. Thường dùng để nói các sự việc nối tiếp gấp gáp, nhất là vào dịp cuối năm đầu năm; “chửa” là cách nói cổ hoặc phương ngữ của “chưa”.

Refers to how quickly time moves on: before the old year's matters are finished, the new year's matters have already come. It is used for the hurried succession of events, especially around the turn of the year; the wording uses an older or regional form meaning “not yet.”
