Chỉ việc gò ép, cưỡng buộc người khác vào chuyện hôn nhân không do họ tự nguyện lựa chọn. Ở dị bản này, “dây” là cách nói chệch của “duyên”, nhưng nghĩa vẫn là chê trách sự sắp đặt hôn nhân trái ý người trong cuộc.
